Meet the Designer

Minorquines was founded in 2012 by French creator Anne to share the Menorcan avarca tradition with a contemporary touch. The sandals are made in Spain, in a family-run traditional workshop whose love of shoes goes back to 1929.

Sandals in a blue nubuck leather.

The original model of the famous menorcan sandals invented by the peasants of the island of Menorca in the 50s, redesigned in nubuck leather with a light sole made from rubber with a tyre-tread print. The end of the foot is opened and the position of the heel strap makes sure the foot is held in place.

  • Colour: blue
  • Upper: nubuck leather
  • Sole: leather and rubber with tyre-tread print
  • Heel: 5 mm
  • Care: remove dust with a brush or a soft, dry cloth; protect nubuck with a waterproofing spray

Available in size 37. Minorquines advises choosing your exact size, as the leather adapts to your foot. With half sizes, go down for narrow feet and up for wider feet.
