Meet the Designer

Gitte and Kim Henriksen started Cofur in Denmark in 2013, after travelling through India and falling for the old silk saris they found there. Rather than print new fabric, they buy the saris, wash them, and hand them to seamstresses in India who cut them into something new.

It means no dyeing, no new fabric, and no two pieces alike — the print you receive is the one that sari carried first.

A maxi that moves. The Jackie skirt falls in pure silk from a pleated waist to the ankle, printed with a block-style motif in green and black on deep teal — buttoned and belt-looped at the front, smocked at the back so it settles where you want it.

  • 100% silk, cut from vintage Indian saris — so each Jackie skirt is one of a kind.
  • Pleated front with button fastening and belt loops; smocked back panel for an easy, forgiving fit.
  • Flat sandals and a linen shirt by day; heels and a silk cami after dark.

100% silk. Dry clean, or hand wash cold and separately — silk dyes can run. Do not tumble dry. Dry flat away from direct sunlight and press on a low heat on the reverse.

One size (TU), fitting approximately XS to L. The smocked back panel gives at the waist. As each skirt is made from a vintage sari, measurements can vary slightly piece to piece.
