Meet the Designer

Marakame works with families in rural communities in Jalisco, Nayarit, Chihuahua and Oaxaca, Mexico. Its jewellery uses Wixárika (Huichol) beadwork – a traditional craft built bead by bead – and its foundation supports Huichol families and helps keep their customs alive.
  • The Story

We fell for the graphic pattern on this Marakame bag. Brown, black and cream geometric motifs are crocheted all around the bucket shape, the braided handles are comfortable in the hand, and two big tassels give it a playful finish. It brings warmth and character to simple outfits.

Styling tip: Carry it with a white linen dress on holiday, or with jeans and a knit in town.
